A photo of Marilyn getting tattooed by Amanda was featured in the New York Times today. The photographer
Suzanne DeChillo came into Fun City a couple weeks ago while Marilyn was getting her
badger worked on by Amanda. She told us she got a
couple of stories in the Metropolitan Diary and one of them was about a
tattoo. She was very friendly and asked if she could come take photos
of us and of the shop and they were actually used! Click here to read the excerpt
Dear Diary,
Upon entering a Midtown office elevator, I noticed a woman with a large tattoo on her arm. Our eyes connect and she tells me that it's a fresh tattoo, done in honor of her mother, who has a serious illness.
I smile, not for the tattoo, but for her touching gesture. With that the elevator doors open. She steps out, looks back at me and says, "My mother is going to hate this"
