Its official me and Kevin got married!!!  For our 6 year anniversary we surprised everyone and eloped. It's taken me a while to post about it there was a long list of people that needed to get announcements, phone calls etc before I posted online,  but finally the news is out, we got hitched.

On September 28th 2001 Kevin and I left for our first date a road trip that lasted 4 days. Our first stop was Wellsboro PA, close to the Pennsylvania Grand Canyon (that pretty much no one has heard of). 6 years later we retraced our steps back to Wellsboro only this time we stopped and applied for a marriage license. We got to see the canyon and hung out the whole weekend to pass the three day waiting period. The town was great, its like a time capsule, Main street is lined with gaslights. We stayed in the same historic hotel,  and ate at the same antique diner.

Monday was the big day. The mayor married us! He was so cool he even suggested we meet him outside in  a park for the ceremony. So just me, Kevin, the Mayor and the dogs were present for the happy occasion. I must say it was all very romantic. Giddy and excited we called my folks on the way back to New York.  We were able to surprise Kevins parents in person since they live in Long Island. After all this time I think the folks were relieved we got married they didn't even mind that we ran off. It was a ton of fun. I was more worried about telling Brad there would be no wedding but he took the news well, didn't even believe us at first. We told him in person in London. the London convention was that weekend so the next day we were London bound it was definately an adventure packed week.

When we got back to New York we had a photo shoot with Dale for our wedding photos to send out. When Dale sent the final retouched image Kevin mentioned that he thought retouching meant he would get a hairline so 10 minutes later Dale sent over the second version that you can see by rolling over the picture. Lots of laughs and Dale just contiues to out do himself we definately have the best wedding photos ever.

It was great I recommend elopement to anyone, no stress, lots of fun and you can spend more money on shoes! I love being married, I love my ring!  I've heard it said tattoo girls don't wear diamonds. NOT TRUE! (wink wink Marissa
