The Holly Rose Review is calling for submissions to their brand new tattoo and Poetry Lit journal. I was skeptical at first of the notion of trying to combine tattoos with poetry but it's pretty cool to see the tattoos used as illustration.
The first issues theme was peace and the second issue's theme is passion. So if you have done or have a tattoo that fits the theme of passion please send it in. Read more for the submission guidelines
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES AS FOLLOWS:
E-mail subs only:
Poems in the message box-no attachments-include name and e-mail.
Tattoo photos as jpegs, normal resolution. Tattoo submitters can be the tattoo wearer, the tattoo
artist (if not the artist of the original design), the original artist, or the photographer. In each case,
please include the names of everyone involved.
All submissions must express the theme. Second issue's theme is passion:
(1) emotion; (2) plural a: the emotions as distinguished from reason; b: intense, driving, or
overmastering feeling or conviction; c: an outbreak of anger;
(3) a: ardent affection : love; b: a strong liking or desire for or devotion to some activity, object,
or concept; c: sexual desire; d: an object of desire or deep interest;
(4) intense emotion compelling action. Passion applies to an emotion that is deeply stirring or
ungovernable . (Webster's)

Holly Rose Review asks for license of first North American electronic publication rights in an
online journal (unless previously published in another online journal) and the right to keep your
work in our archives; all other rights remain the artist's at publication.
