Once again Friday the 13th is upon us and we are getting a barrage of calls and emails so here are some answers to some of your questions.
Yes we are doing it. No you cant make an appointment, yes the tattoos are $13 (with a lucky 7 tip) Bring cash, no you can't get whatever you want.... Here's the deal.
We draw up a sheet of tattoos for the day, the sheet is available to look at that day, not beforehand. It's whatever we feel like doing. We get a lot of people through the shop that day so to tattoo as many people as possible we will only tattoo you in the easiest spots. No necks, hands, feet, stomachs, sides, lower backs, heads, or chests. It's hard work tattooing so many people in one day so we try to make it as easy on ourselves as possible. Hands may be easy to get to but they often don't heal up well and we don't like doing touch ups on $20 tattoos. There's a reason we don't like to do certain spots, deal with it pick an easy spot...like your arm. Only one tattoo per customer per day.
The last Friday the 13th most people waited 6-8 hours to get tattooed. The weather was much nicer the last time so make sure you dress well for whatever the weather brings this time. DO NOT block our neighbors from getting into their buildings or businesses. Be VERY considerate of the neighbors around the shop. Don't stand in doorways don't block any shops. In fact we will take your cell number and call when it's close to your turn so go wander around and check out the neighborhood businesses, do a little shopping, get a snack while you wait to support the LES.
Bring valid state ID. No ID, no tattoo. You must be at least 18 years old. No exceptions. State ID means a drivers license, passport, non driver ID etc (so don't bring like a library card)
Friday the 13th is about the most hectic day you could possibly get tattooed at our shop. It is not for the faint of heart or overly fussy. You're getting tattooed on this busiest of all days at your own risk. If you would like a tattoo that you can nit pick and scrutinize you should come in on a regular day and pay what one would normally pay for a tattoo and we will have all the patience in the world. This day is supposed to be fun for everyone so be on good behavior, be nice and mind your manners while you are at the shop or outside waiting. Don't whine or complain. Show us how much you appreciate that we do this. For that matter go online afterward and post a review about how great we are.
