So this is the second time I've gotten something like this. After the first one I heard that they sent these out to multiple tattoo shops and someone actually drew something up for them hopefully they didn't get any money. That was a few months ago then I got another one similar. This is the latest request we got:

SO WE WOULD WANT TO KNOW THE FOLLOWING THINGS AND WE WOULD WANT YOU TO RESPOND AS SOON AS POSSIBLE SO THAT WE CAN PRESS FORWARD FOR OUR VISA TO YOUR DOMAIN.

PLEASE ANSWER THIS QUESTION BELLOW

(1) How long will it take you to inflict tatoo on 12 people
(2) How is the cost for one person
(3) Where exactly is your studio in
(4) Would there be any discount for as many as 12 people

Last time I emailed the guy a few times thinking it was weird  (Click here for all the emails) But when I told the guy several times we don't take checks and he kept saying he was gonna send me a check I knew it was a scam. 

The moral here is if you think it's wrong it probably is.  There's good info online

  Be careful taking checks, BECAUSE.....

·        You don’t have to wait long to use the money, but that doesn’t mean the check is good. Under federal law, banks have to make the funds you deposit available quickly – usually within one to five days, depending on the type of check. But just because you can withdraw the money doesn’t mean the check is good, even if it’s a cashier’s check. It can take weeks for the forgery to be discovered and the check to bounce.

·        You are responsible for the checks you deposit. That’s because you’re in the best position to determine the risk – you’re the one dealing directly with the person who is arranging for the check to be sent to you. When a check bounces, the bank deducts the amount that was originally credited to your account. If there isn’t enough to cover it, the bank may be able to take money from other accounts you have at that institution, or sue you to recover the funds. In some cases, law enforcement authorities could bring charges against the victims because it may look like they were involved in the scam and knew the check was counterfeit.

Arrival date of the band: 20th April.
Band members: 7 {5 men and 2 ladies} All members are above 18 years.
Needed tattoo for the band group: Any picture of a woman playing saxophone should be boldly drawn at their back and guitar should be drawn at their two hands {Upper Arm}. Small butterfly should also be drawn at the low waist of the women.
Colour: Black
They will arrive in your country on the 20th of April and will like to start with the tattoo work on the 22nd. Having gotten the ideas of what is really needed, I will like to know the exact number of days it will take you to tattoo them.

What I explained in my previous mail is that you will tattoo the whole 7 members of band. You have to draw any picture of a lady playing saxophone at the backs of the 7 band members and guitar at their upper arms. Then you will draw a small butterfly at the back waist of the two girls.
 
Find attached to this email a picture of which you can see and be able to draw the motives. The size of the guitar and butterfly will be the same like the one attached to this email but you can change the design as you want. The size of the back tattoo should be around 40cm

I am sending this email to let you know that the plan of this project has changed. Please be informed that the band group will arrive on the 20th of April and you will have to start tattooing them from 22nd.
 
They will be in your country till ending of May.

Type: Stylized Tattoos.
 
The size of the guitar and the butterfly will be the same as the picture attached to this email.
 
You can tattoo them with the same or different designs of the needed pictures depending on if you are the only person to tattoo them or if you will be tattooing them with different tattoo artists.
 
Attached to this email is an exemplary picture of what we need. It is not a must that you will tattoo them the same picture on this email, you can stylize it and make it to look more like a cartoon or unrealistic.

I confirm the receipt of your mail and wish to thank you for your assistance to see that we will have the best of your professional tattoo skills. I received your quote and your payment has been concluded so you will receive it by Check.

 

We have arranged for another group that will come as well towards the beginning of June which you have to tattoo them. They are made up of 9 members and will also need to be tattooed by you once they arrive.

 

A check has been prepared in your favor and it has an additional amount which is for the cost of your service and the money for the Director who will take care of their accommodation and also arrange for the logistics arrangement of the groups that you will tattoo.

 

Once you receive the check, you are required to take the money for the cost of your services and then send the money of the Director to him so he can carter for the flight and other logistic arrangements of the group.

 

You will send to the Director his amount once you confirm the total amount in your account. The check will be forwarded to you once this is confirmed so do let me know how willing you are to assist in this issue.
