We got a call from Nick Divito, a writer at the Associated Press the other day. I had to dig a little but I found the article online. The Houston Chronical had it up with a slideshow of the photos by Kathy Willens. Basically its a piece about how times have chaged in tattooing now that people have more choices these days in terms of getting custom work, glow in the dark ink, no ink....whatever. It's not breaking news or anything bur I'm always happy to see the shop mentioned. The photos are my favorite part of the article and I enjoyed speaking with the photographer who's a teacher at NYU. She was trying to remember all the things she tells her students when they shoot in a tattoo shop..."Get the vibe of the place, the feel, the type of people hanging out" The pictures are cool, check out the slideshow.
