A big thank you to everyone who made it by on Saturday for our Recession Buster special.  We did over 40 tattoos and were able to donate $1760 to the Food Bank for New York City . And we raised $460 for the SPCA in Nevada .  I was happy to hear how many people were inspired to come by since it was for a good cause.

Brad Stevens was the good cause tattoo master raising over $600!!! Good job Brad. Also putting time in was Seth Wood, Jason June, Big Steve, Bedford, Guy, and myself. I appreciated all the time put in by everyone including our lovely assistants Rebecca, Mina and Marylin.

Marissa from Needled was kind enough to give us a plug and pulled a few folks in from her loyal followers - always, thank you Marissa for your support!

I kinda laid off mentioning that the sheet would be staying up past Saturday since we wanted as many people as possible to make it by Saturday when the whole shop was working for the cause but yes the sheet will remain posted at least for a while. And we will continue to donate the shops portion of proceeds to the charities. Maybe I'll keep it up until the Dow hits 10,000, we'll see. Don't wait too long though since the more popular designs have been known to sell out at our whim. 

At left is a picture of Aaron Sanchez of Paladar , our biggest fan, our best friend who actualy picked the Daredevil pitchfork off the sheet, what a guy! Thats why we love him.

Questions have been coming in about our Saturday special, so here's a few answers:

No you can't see the sheet ahead of time it's a surprise. Don't come by the shop asking to see it. The picture at left is the only sneek peek you get.

Yes we are only doing the special at Daredevil- we have to have someplace to tattoo our regular customers in peace. 

First come first served. We will be taking names and numbers so you may wander about until your number is called. Bring your cellphone so we can call you when ready.

The weather forecast is crappy and cold so dress warm and wear sensible shoes there's no place to wait in the shop.

Do not get in the way of our neighbors upstairs or nextdoor. Don't stand or sit in the doorways (or the crazy lady may go off on you, seriously). And don't block the businesses. 

Speaking of neighbors, many of the local businesses are slow so bring a couple extra bucks to get a drink, have a snack, or do some xmas shopping while you wait.  Some businesses will even be offering specials to participants we will post specials at the shop.

No necks, hands, backs, bellies, or feet. This is a very gruelling day for us so we stick to the easy spots. We like to still have feeling in our necks, hands and backs at the end of the day.

We do these specials to have fun with our customers and friends and to meet new customers and friends. If it's not fun for us we won't do it anymore so show us how grateful you are that we are so cool. Don't whine or complain and be on your best behavior all day. Afterwards tell everyone how great Daredevil is, post your praise online and keep it fun for everyone.
